Before the Independent War, each state already had its own laws. Speaking from a certain perspective, each state could be seen as an independent country. After America won its independence from the Great Britain in the Revolutionary War, the new country needed a mechanism to unify the thirteen states to form a government. The Articles of Confederation was the first national constitution that was acknowledged by the thirteen American states that was submitted to the Second continental Congress on July 12, 1776. It was sought to be the solution to group the thirteen states to be a country.

Empathy Belly Project I underwent several discomforts and sensations while doing the empathy belly project. One of which was restricted breathing caused by the tightness of the belly which wasn’t enjoyable. Also the baby’s “feet” were sticking into my ribs, creating irritation when I walked or moved around a lot. Ethnicity and Hollywood Racism is always issues which take a huge part of American history. Until the twenty-first century, although people tried to make the country becomes the freedom and equality nation, these issues are still happening everywhere. According to "In Living Color: Race and American Culture," Stuart Hall argues that racism is still widespread in the society and "it is widely invisible even to those who formulate the world in its terms" (qtd. in Omi 683). Indeed, situations about race quietly exist in the movie industry, which "has led to the perpetuation of racial caricatures" to the majority audiences and even minority audiences (Omi 629).
Therefore, it is our view the negative stereotypes of African Americans in movies and TV shows has a impact on how they view themselves and can adversely affect their holistic development. The bias towards African Americans, whether it may be conscious or unconscious, is real. Modern day media has a major role to play in this, since what we see can have effects on our lives. Some may argue that Hollywood directors and writers should not be burdened with the responsibility of avoiding the stereotyping of racial characters. However, these stereotypes poorly represent the traditions of ethnic groups, send out harmful messages to children (who are easily influenced by movies), and give very little opportunity to talented actors/actresses who are judged more on their race than their talent.
