The play, Romeo and Juliet by, William Shakespeare set in Verona, Italy in the late 1400s. In the play two star crossed lovers from feuding families fall in love. They plan to run away so that they can be together. However, due to a miscommunication they both end up killing themselves so they won’t have to live without the other. Although this is a classic love story, Romeo and Juliet should not be taught in schools today. It is sexist, outdated and sends teens a bad message.
