The Effects of Steroids

In my point of view I would look at steroids as a con but of course it has its pros as well.There are different many types of steroids that would not be considered as harmful and there are the steroids that can have you looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Steroids as well are not just used to become athletically buff it can also be prescribed for other medical problems, these steroids would be the ones that would not make you look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Listing the different types of steroids I will explain how helpful they can be as a con and how harmful they can be as a pro.

The first type of steriod the I would not consider a con is Corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are produced in the adrenal gland above the kidney. It includes the hormone aldosterone and cortisol which the aldosterone helps regulate the body's sodium concentration. The cortisol serves as a part of the body's stress response system to decrease inflammation. Corticosteroids helps with these types of diseases: Asthma, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Inflammatory bowel disease, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. These are the steroids that started the argument in sports whether it should be illegal or not. Also this is the steroid that could get you looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Androgenic steroids are the ones that consists of the male hormone testosterone. Anabolic steroids is the part that increases the size of body tissue and protein production to get you those big quads. Anabolic steroids even though it is apart of the androgenic steroid it can also be use to help with these medical problems: High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Liver Damage, Heart Failure, Acne, Baldness, and as well helps with violent and aggressive
