That quote showed that failure is not a good thing but it happens to everyone and you always learn something from failure, even if it's just a simple change it's something you learned from failure. Second, so many famous people have failed and it didn't change them as a person they are still who they are. For example in the text it says “ Plenty of famous people have had their share of epic fails too. Did you know that 12 publishers rejected J.K Rowling's first Harry Potter book?
“When the world says give up hope whispers try it one more time.” Tim Tebow Sometimes in life things happen that you have no control over, and can cause a roadblock in life that you just can 't get over. That is what happened to me. One day I goggled inspiration quotes and that one came up. I didn’t know who Tim Tebow was or what he did so I researched him.
His success story also motivates me (as his audience) because afterward I could never blame about the education system
John Wooden once said “failure is not fatal but failure to change might be”(John Wooden Quote.) Wooden was addressing the idea that one only fails if they do not change after messing up. I never fully understood that principle until I attempted the FFA Creed Career Development Event. After not giving all that I could during the contest, I experienced the worst defeat of my FFA career. I had always thought that Wooden’s statement was only inspire those who had lost, but through personal failures I have learned otherwise.
Baker's own experiences show the value of knowledge and perseverance in overcoming adversity and succeeding in one's career. Despite his family's financial difficulties, Baker was able to receive a scholarship to attend college and finally found success as a journalist. Similarly, despite having to leave school to support the family, Baker's brother was able to launch a successful career in advertising. But not every member of Baker's family faced the same obstacles to realizing the American Dream.
Many individuals experience different amounts of failure in their lifetimes. Many learn and grow from their defeats and others let it keep them from succeeding. I made sure that failure was another obstacle to success. Icons like Randy moss didn’t let failure get the best of him when he didn’t make the freshman high school football team, and look at him now, he is one of the best Football players of all time.
Inspiration "Failure happens all the time. It happens every day in practice. What makes it better is how you react to it. " Those words inspire me and many others.
Film has the ability to capture events in time that visual narrate suffering, pain, honor, and death. These elements of the human experience separates photography and cinema from other art forms, as the viewer witnesses what they believe is untampered truth. So what better way to visually document and tell the story of the greatest war ever fought in modern time, World War II. This war was of biblical proportions with over 72 million casualties and scares that were felt in almost every part of the world form Europe, China, Middle East, North Africa, South-East Asia and the Pacific. World War II set a script of tremendous magnitude that any director would love to depict with names like Franklin D. Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, Gen. Patton, and Gen. Eisenhower leading the allied forces against the evilness set by the axis forces of Hirohito’s Japan, Benito Mussolini’s Italy, and the most villainous of all Germany’s Adolph Hitler.
Steven Spielberg is an American director whose had countless top grossing films and captured the attention of American audiences. “Jaws”, “Jurassic Park”, “Saving Private Ryan” and 42 more films have been directed by Spielberg and have been credited with countless awards. Spielberg has worked with award winning actors, used groundbreaking technology, and is even considered to be the father of the New Hollywood Era. As a child Steven would film things like family events and occasions and soon went onto directing tv shows, before movies, starting in the mid 80’s to the present. Steven Spielberg is the most memorable director due to his advances in movie special effects and setting the stage for summer blockbusters.
: For my presentation I have chosen to examine Steven Spielberg and what stylistic features he uses to make himself considered as an auteur. An auteur is a director that has a unique style in filming and has complete control of the production process of the film. The three films that I have chosen to focus on are E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982), A.I. Artificial Intelligence(2001) and Close Encounters (1977). These are three of Steven Spielberg's most known films.
In conclusion, without failure and staying enthusiastic when we fail, there would be no success. Therefore, I agree with Winston Churchill that failure is a key part of success. If you keep your enthusiasm high even when you fail multiple times you will eventually have success.
Duh-nun-duh-nun. Duh-nun-duh-nun. The melody of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws (1975) is still playing in my head along with the vivid image of being attacked by a great white shark in open water. Jaws, the first of the Spielberg series, took place on the small island of Amity, New York where a great white shark appears and makes the beach its new feeding ground. This thriller was filled with a lot of action, drama, and adventure that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats with anticipation and paranoia while watching the movie.
I have always been curious why perfection is so strongly sought after, even with the knowledge that such flawlessness is unattainable, and imperfection is often equated with failure. It is human nature to want to succeed; no one strives to do poorly, but it is not fair to limit ourselves to a system of either passing or failing. I used to believe that I must be the best at everything, regardless of my actual skills, interests, or talents. I wanted to be the distinguished athlete, the brilliant student, the amusing socialite and the compassionate friend at all times, and more importantly, I wanted to be the best in all of those categories simultaneously. The day I realized I couldn’t be perfect at everything was the same day I thought it would be best to drop out of AP Calculus.
There are several quotes included in this notebook that focus on resilience. For me, I myself find that quotes also help me when I feel like I want to give up. They’re inspirational and make people feel a lot better and sometimes they even make then want to pursue what they want or need and to keep going. It could make them realise that the the situation they are in right now is not the final destination and that they can change where they are. These quotes are motivational.
High concept films are generally known to be characterized by succinct storylines and mass audience appeal. Steven Spielberg’s 1975 thriller Jaws was historically pivotal in establishing the elements that constitute the framework of Hollywood high-concept cinema. With high box-office returns and heavy advertising, Toy Story 3 by Lee Unkrich (2008) also constitutes the same elements and worked along some of the same premises that constitute high-concept cinema. This essay will explore the notions and theories surrounding high-concept cinema in relation to these films. High-concept on its most basic level is the result of tension between economics and aesthetics in commercial studio filmmaking.
