In the novel Green Grass, Running Water by Thomas King there's quite a few characters you follow, one of the characters in particular is Eli Stand Alone. Eli’s story arc is so compelling for Native Americans today due to the fact, Native’s have the opportunity to live two different lives such as life on the reservation or integrating into white society. Eli and Lionel's story arcs explore this idea very vividly. Lionel's story is about him never leaving Blossom which he later regrets due to the fact he wanted to go to school and get an education. Eli's story is him choosing to go get an education and get a job far from Blossom.
In Stephen King's memoir, On Writing, he discusses many of the fundamentals of writing he believes are crucial to great writers. In the part of the book titled, "The Craft of Writing," King reveals some of his many rules which have led to great success in the writing field. Out of the many points he explained, I noticed three rules that could benefit my writing the most as an AP Language and Composition student. Though simple, these rules opened my eyes to how I could advance my writing skills by following a few easy fixes. Coming into RCC 200 in August, I felt confident as a writer in my ability to articulate my thoughts into a well-developed essay. However as with any student, I knew that I had plenty of room to improve, most notably in regards to formulating a strong thesis, descriptive body, and well-summarized conclusion, and was fortunate to have countless sources to guide me throughout the semester. At the conclusion of two months of practice, I have learned several new techniques of how to properly convey my writing across various forms of papers, which is best exemplified when comparing my annotated bibliography to my i-search paper. What was most challenging about my annotated bibliography was my lack of ability to apply college level strategies across several aspects of my paper. In hindsight, it is understandable as to how I was unable to express myself in a more coherent manor as I was not yet introduced to tools such as our class book They Say I Say, assistance from tutors at the writing center, or valuable expertise from college professors.
This chapter can help young writers in English class with their papers in many different ways. For instance, Trimble gives examples on what a veteran writer does in order to make their writing interesting. He also gives out techniques on how you can get a reader’s attention or how you can fix your writing to make it readable instead of having nonsense. What makes this difficult for me as a writer is that I write what ever comes to my mind and it will not make sense. Another thing that makes it difficult for me as a writer is that I am not good at getting the readers attention and having him hooked on to my work.

There are things that people are expected to do, and things that they should do without any reward, not saying that receiving

Writing essays and other types of posts has always been difficult for me. But, throughout this composition class, I have learned many interesting and new things about the different types of writing styles. When starting this class, I considered myself to be an average writer with run-of-the-mill vocabulary, ordinary sentence structure and typical finished products. This class has helped me greatly improve my writing skills in a variety of ways. I have learned multiple things by taking this class, such as new ways to approach writing and that there is much that I still need to learn about composition.
3. Accommodating style (Lose-Win) Accommodating in negotiations is the opposite of competing. This means that unlike in competitive negotiations in which parties involved are only concerned with winning, in accommodative negotiations, relationship building is more important than winning. This is a style mostly used by the Brazilians.
In its simplest terms, a border can be defined as a line separating two countries. Borders can have many social, cultural and physical implications. They are so much more than invisible lines engraved through the soil. Borders are a geographical phenomenons; careful elements of organisation and the management of territory, usually preformed by a political power.
