Bruno is dead his own father is at fault. In the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Bruno is a german boy who has moved from Berlin to the German concentration camp Auschwitz because his father is a commandant there. Throughout the story Father had been very quiet through most the book up until the end and he is responsible for Bruno’s death because, he did not tell him about the other side of the fence and what was happening there. First, from the beginning of the book father never remotely explained anything of what was happening in Auschwitz and why they were there. “‘And I have listen to what you have to say, even your youth and inexperience force you to phrase things in an insolent manner.
