Reflection: Drug Testing For Student Athletes

Reflection For my senior project I chose to research drug testing for student athletes. While I was working on my Senior Exhibition I ran into a lot of obstacles. I had a difficult time choosing a topic because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to research but when I did I ended up finding a lot of important information. Another obstacle I ran into was finding an advisor and a time that was convenient for the advisor and I to meet. I overcame my obstacles in many ways. I ended up doing virtual shadowing since my advisor wasn't able to make time to meet and I just emailed him back and fourth for my information. While I was preparing for my exhibition my advisor was my favorite teacher, Coach Evans. I really enjoyed him being my advisor and he was extremely helpful and reliable. We met a good bit and he helped me with all the things I needed help with when I came to him. The topic I decided on was student athletes and drug testing. My claim for this topic was that student athletes should be drug tested in order to participate in sports. I chose this topic because I didn't really know much about it and I wanted to know more. It was difficult for me to find articles that supported my argument because a lot of articles disagreed with my claim. When I finally found articles that agreed with my claim I had to make sure the articles I used were reliable.
