In the article, Arguments Against School Uniforms, it says “ policies(dress codes) place limitations on freedom of expression…” This quote explains why most kids think dress codes are living nightmares. When all students look the same, it doesn’t let them express who they really are. Whenever kids wear what they want, they can express their personality through what they wear. On the contrary, the only problem about not having dress codes is that some kids bully each other for what they wear, which is totally unacceptable.
Well if this is true, would you want your child or students to wear uniforms? If parents want their kids to be safe and schools don’t want a inadequate name, then students shouldn’t wear uniforms. Students shouldn’t wear uniforms because it will only cause the student themselves, schools, and their family problems. From uniforms violating a student’s freedom, to giving the school a inadequate name, to it not curbing crime rates or improving attendance, there are many negative effects of students wearing uniforms.
Some parents and people think when we give them uniforms it takes away their freedom of expression and restricts them from showing who they are. This is wrong. They can still express themselves in many ways, such as: wearing unique tennis shoes, styling their hair however they want, mix and matching the uniform pieces, wearing fun jewellery, etc. They can also wear the fun clothing outside of school, whenever they want. Uniforms make it so everyone looks together and one, so no one gets better or worse treatment for what they wear.
I agree with these students and I wouldn’t want to be forced to wear a uniform either. To begin, parents don’t want to pay the extra money for a school uniform. It’s extremely expensive and the student 's parents have to buy even more appliances on top of that. Let’s weigh the pros and cons of school uniforms states, “The cost of uniforms is prohibitive, especially when a family includes more than one school-aged child.”
The effect on this is that kids will either want to come to school. Another reason is because students will be nervous for school everyday. That why students should not wear uniform. In conclusion uniforms is a bad idea. Another reason students should not wear uniform is because students parents might struggle for paying for uniform and and the kids might feel uncomfortable wearing uniform.

Envision waking up every morning to put on the same outfit and walk out the door, stress free. People would not have to worry about what fits, or what is fashionable at the time. Schools would not have to worry about inappropriate clothing but at the same time, that clothing may be a way for a student to express himself.
