Success can be found in community and friendship, which can lead to happiness. Cannery Row is about a group of friends trying to adapt to their environment. They, Mack and the boys, started from nothing and then created something out of it. They were able to achieve a meaning lifestyle even though they faced many challenges. But that’s what helped them become successful.
