We often consume more sugar than is needed. An overdose of sugar may lead to obesity, diabetes, and heart problems. The maximum recommended additive of sugar a day is 6 teaspoons or 24 grams for women and 9 teaspoons or 36 grams for men. Sugar is the one of the basic ingredients in many products so the daily consumption of sugar is quite high. Sugar is made up of two molecules, glucose and fructose. If too much fructose is taken into the body, the liver turns the energy into liver fat which causes metabolic diseases. It also, shuts down the part of the brain that tells you when you are full. And because of this, people are consuming a lot more calories than they need. A lot of products that we eat or drink have a lot of sugar. Soft
