Does that break my Norm? I hadn’t realized how much I had gained until the day we had dress fitting for my Filipino friend’s 18th birthday also known as a debut. I was shocked myself that I had never realized when I started to put on weight. I didn’t know what to do. I knew I didn’t like my body and it was time for me to make a change but I didn’t know where to start. I should’ve have done some research about what I was eating and how it was being made instead I watched lots of youtube videos which didn’t really help me at all. Then one day, I was so bored and I had nothing to do; I had caught up with all of my shows and movies on Netflix and the only option I had was to watch documentaries. I started to watch Supersize Me but I lost interest after a while and decided to watch something else and the documentary that helped me make a better decision about the food I intake was Food, Inc. I was 17 at the moment and living with my parents didn’t make it any easier for me to change the way I eat. We had meat in every meal from breakfast to dinner and slowly I started to eat whatever my parents cooked but in a smaller portion. I was still in my journey for a better healthier lifestyle. Once again I was on Youtube but this time, I learned about Vegan lifestyle. I didn’t understand much about the vegan lifestyle at first. I thought they were Vegetarians who called themselves Vegan to sound cool. After researching I found out I was wrong; Vegetarians just don 't eat meat but Vegans don 't eat anything that comes from an animal, for example honey, dairy products, meat and so on.
