Let me tell you how the the Minnesota Vikings football team made it to the playoffs after starting the season 0-4 and then winning the rest of their games and win the NFC North. When some of their players were 3 years old they could tackle a 300 pound lineman, or even throw a ball so fast it started a fire. When they got their first win it was with an offensive line that was all rookies and Sam Bradford with his first year with the Minnesota Vikings. When the Vikings played their first playoff game they had to tackle 300 foot tall giants that weighed more than 1,000 pounds. They also had to deal with blocking 500-foot tall giants that weighed more than 2,000 pounds.
When a physical, demanding sport collides with a brutal, poverty-stricken town, true character is revealed, and the devastating realities of high school kids are shown to those who live in a sugar-coated world. The Manassas High School football team is full of new talents that are apparently worthless when a different players is shot, imprisoned, or drops out of school on an almost weekly basis. That is just a glimpse inside the misfortune that the kids of this film are enduring day in and day out. Some parentless and some virtually homeless, it seems as if the only way out of a constant state of need is a miracle, or death. Released in 2011, Undefeated has much more to offer than the typical football documentary.
John Singleton’s film, Boyz N the Hood, displays the challenging upbringing of adolescents who have to live with harsh conditions around not only their home but also their surrounding town. The film compares the differences between the lifestyles of Tre Styles and his friends’, Darren and Ricky Baker. Darren and Ricky are half-brothers who are nothing alike. Singleton demonstrates the importance of male leadership in a home in the ghetto of Los Angeles by comparing the difference between the lifestyles of Tre and his friends. While many adolescents in the hood have close friendships, some form close relationships by assembling gangs and create a world of violence due to alcohol abuse, which together ultimately breeds discrimination.
Every year individuals from all across the United States makes the decision on whether or not they will try out for an interscholastic athletic team. These individuals hope to be part of something special, whether it’s achieving individual goals or team goals. They also understand they will need to sacrifice time, energy, and their social life in order to achieve these goals. When tryouts begin these individuals hope their skills and abilities will get them recognized by not only the coaches, but the returning players as well. A problem arises though once try outs are over and the team is announced.
During an off-season where many star football players were long overdue for a contract extension, it isn 't too absurd to claim that Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was the most deserving. In pursuit to keep their dynasty flourishing, Seattle took their time with the whole process and it worked out quite well in their favor. Wilson, and the Seahawks have officially agreed to a four-year, $87.5 million contract extension. There will be a plethora of chatter around the league debating who came out on the better end of the deal.
Football is a very popular sport not only in American high schools and colleges, but also in the entire country of the United States. Is playing high school football worth the risk and harm inflicted to high school football players? This is the main question raised by the author, Raymond Schroth, in the article “Abolish High School Football.” In this article, Schroth talked about the disadvantages and harms of playing high school football to the players. Schroth argued that high school football should be abolished because it had contributed more harmful effects than benefits to football players.

The film brings light to issues that the general public doesn’t really realize are happening. Drug and gang violence are large issues in America and this movie shows that. This violent scene has the biggest effect on the audience and it truly educates people watching the movie. This also leads to another message that the director cooperating through the

Before 1971, there was no integration in schools in the small city of Alexandria, Virginia. The white kids went to their school, and the black kids went to theirs. Remember the Titans is a film about a small-town high school football team in rural Virginia during the early 1970s. It is a film that focuses on the hardships and triumphs that the T.C. Williams football team, the Titans, had to endure as one of the first integrated teams, as well as the growth and expansion of a closed-off mind that people all have until they get to know the true meaning behind something.
In particular I believe the writer focuses more on Tre Styles and his point of view. Those that viewed this movie got to witness how racism, violence, gangs, and growing up in the hood shaped the future of all three boys. The movie starts out in the year 1984 focusing on Tre Styles and how his behavior in school forces his mom to take him to live with his father. His father has more strict rules in his home and his mother believes that he needs his dad in his life to turn him and shape him into a young mature man. Tre immediately reunites with his childhood friends Ricky and Darrin and they spend time catching up.
The sport I chose to observe was college football. I decided to chose this sport because football is a sport my family enjoys to watch. Also I enjoy watching football more than any other sport because there is so much that could happen, in football many unexpecting plays could happen, and each game is different than the last one. The game I chose to watch was a college football game between the University of Notre Dame and the University of Miami that took place at the University of Miami on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The game started with Miami kicking the ball to Notre Dame.
As a little boy I had big dreams of playing football. When I was walking in the halls of the intermediate and middle school and saw the high school football players with their jerseys on, they were like super stars. I looked up to them because I wanted to be like them. The high school football players were popular, they were happy, and they were important to the school. Going to the football games on Friday nights was the highlight of my week.
