Her dad had shot a girl while trying to commit a robbery years ago and got sent to prison for murder. Keisha tries to tell Tia to give up and stop trying to find out more about her father and that he committed a serious crime and should not be forgiven.

This quote shows that connie doesn’t want to go with her abuela.
Lily lives with her father T-Ray who isn’t the best father and his worker Rosaline. Lily and Rosaline go into town one day and end up getting arrested. T-Ray bails Lily out of jail but not Rosaline. Lily decides she is going to to break Rosaline out of jail and they are going to run away. They go to a town where Lily thinks her dead mother has been.
Laura got a called that they found one for her and the girl name is Anna , she became surrogate for them. Everything was okay at first but Anna starts to like John more but Anna was married and her and her husband planned to scam John and Laura for money. But Anna kills her husband because he threaten to tell John and Laura about what there plans was. And so as she staying with Laura and John in there guesthouse , Anna does things to get John attention. She sends videos to his job (that almost gets him fire), and then she dresses in his wife dress (Laura gets mad about it), then he finds out she isn’t who she says she is.
Then he finally confesses that he was gonna leave her, she acted like nothing happened for a bit, then finally she was so mad she grabbed the lamb and hit her husband on the head, left to the grocery store to get allies and came back and called the cops. In each of these classic stories, the main characters, Tom and Constancia, both have life experiences that shape them to cherish new things and value ideas that cause them to become more suitable, and rational people.
One day he offers to take her out she agrees and they go on another date everything goes good and they head home. When they came up on her street she see police lights, ambulance, firefighters and yellow tape right away she begins to panic hoping it wasn’t her house when she gets up to her house she sees her mom in shock and she sees her dad coming out on a stretcher and somebody in a body bag. She runs to her mom asking for her sister and her mom pointed to the police car she ran over asking what happened their house had been broking into and her sister saved her dads life by shooting the man who tried to rob them.
It is the first day of school and Georgia is getting ready but her little sister Libby pushes her, causing Georgia to accidentally shave of her eyebrow. She goes downstairs, but hiding her eyebrow so her parents won't notice what happen. Her parents start to mock Georgia because the night before she went to a costume party dress as a stuff olive. That is when Georgia professes that she no longer wishes to be treated as a child. "
The most important factor in why someone chooses to do something is how that action will affect their personal feelings because humans value their feelings more than others '. Connie, from "Abuela Invents the Zero" by Judith Ortiz-Cofer, decided to put her feelings in front of Abuela 's when Connie chose not to help when Abuela could not find her way back to the pew in the church. When Connie noticed that Abuela was lost, she decided not to help her because, "I just know that on Monday my friends, and my enemies, in the barrio will have a lot of senile -grandmother jokes to tell in front of me" (Ortiz-Cofer para 14). This shows that Connie put her feelings before Abuela because she did not want to be teased by her friends. If Connie put others ' feelings in front of hers, she would have stood up and helped Abuela no matter how much she would have been teased because Abuela is family.
In Abuela Invents the Zero by Judith Cofer, a common theme would be respect. If you don’t respect others, you can’t respect yourself. To begin, Constancia, Abuela’s granddaughter, shows disrespect toward her grandmother multiple times throughout the story. In the beginning of the story , when connie was waiting for her grandmother at the airport, Constancia doesn’t feel like she is close to her grandmother.
