A car door slams. Lydia Bowden takes a deep breath, “You can do this, come on Lydia” she whispers out loud to herself. She takes another deep breath and begins walking to the school doors. As she walks in her best friend Allison Moore pops out of nowhere and startles her. “ Hey loser, why do you look like you're going to poop your pants?” Allison says as she sees right through the emotions her best friend is trying to hide. She has known Lydia for a long time and knows that she is insecure, fears not being accepted and will do go out of her way to impress people. He sits there in silence for a little bit with a sad expression on his face. Lydia doesn't know who he is but he knows her and is interested in her. He then drives off. Even though she constantly thinks of everything negative at every second of every day and will tear herself down for her failure, she keeps it to herself and tries her hardest to hide it. Because of course if people would know she had a disorder she would not be perfect anymore. Allison really needs somebody to trust and Lydia is someone who you could trust with anything which makes their friendship so valuable to Allison.
