It also shows they also had to go through hardships to make these dreams come true.They have both shown how inventions from inventors save lives.As he created important inventions Garret Morgan demonstrated these qualities such as passion, resilience, and bravery. To start off, Garret Morgan demonstrated the quality of passion. The Storyworks text “The Fire-Breather” explicitly states “Morgan wanted to help firefighters save more lives. So he got to work.” This shows that Garret had passion because he wanted to help firefighters save lives with his creations. The Storyworks article “The Fire-Breather” explicitly states that "After several years of tinkering, he came up with an ingenious device.” This shows that Garret showed the quality of resilience because if he wasn't resilient then he wouldn't have kept trying over and over again to make his invention work. He would have really just given up after he failed the first time and not have created his important inventions. The article from before also states “Many White people didn’t want to do business with a Black man. Morgan didn’t let that stop him.” This shows Garret has resilience because no matter what other people thought would happen to his invention like that it would fail he would keep trying over and over again. He would not listen to his failures or other people who didn't believe in him and eventually he made it work and made his inventions great.
