Teen parents go through a lot, especially Bobby. Bobby has to go through many problems as a teen dad like skipping school to take care of her. Nia the mother was dreaming of becoming a hero to save lives and to save kids but she got stopped by pregnancy at age 16. It all changed when she became pregnant at a young age of 16. The novel of First part last by Angela johnson has deep message about teen pregnancy and how it can change your life from just video games to taking care of child that has no idea what's going on and can't even talk. Bobby doesn't know how to take care of a child so he has to do his best with little he knows with barely any help from his parent, His parents were not ok with him being a teen dad and dropping school grade to take care of a child. The balloon can show you multiple things like a kid or love or even hate. The baalon most likely shows the kid since she is pregnate with a girl. The red shows hate because she is angry that a kid is running their childhood because at the end she said she wanted to be a firefighter to save kids but she can't do what she loves because they is having a kid at a young age. Having a kid at a young age really ruin your life because you can't do anything you want besides to help and rasie you child and when that is done your life is over.
