For the majority of my life, I’ve heard different genres of music but hip-hop has stood out. Also, I think hip-hop has affected this planet in a positive manner and it allows people to express themselves.
In the article, “ Hip Hop Planet ” written by James McBride claims that we live in a hip-hop planet. I understand that Mr. McBride nightmare in which his daughter comes home with a rapper and his daughter which are getting married. One key idea in the article is for 26 years of Mr. McBride life he has high stepped step over hip-hop music and culture but later has come to embrace the music. Another key idea in the article is that he states that he has missed the most culture vent of his life. I think the purpose of him writing the article

For example, James McBride states, “I missed the most important cultural event in my lifetime.” When you explain how you missed an important cultural event it makes me wonder why did you have all that hatred towards hip-hop and never wanted to embrace it. James McBride states that hip-hop has, “no melody, sensibility, instruments, verse, or harmony, music with no beginning, end, or middle, music that doesn't even seem to be music” , and you’re claiming that it not music but I think that you just never wanted to give it a chance our acknowledged it because of your experiences you had toward it was so negative because when you were exposed to hip-hop you were at a party with people drinking and getting in fights. Also, James McBride states that visitors take tours through this neighborhood now, caring for a handful of fortyish “old-timers” who point out the high and low spots of hip hop’s birthplace. When James McBride says highs and lows he means all things that they were going through while they were growing up and making music. I think that your article on hip-hop planet was a great strong article because you have us real-world example of what you have been exposed to and you made your point on why you first dislike hip how and know enjoy
