The sayings goes back to “ Two wrongs don’t make a right”. Catalina de Erauso is born a “normal” girl. Has a “normal” family with sisters and brothers that can be verified. She writes in her memoir “ My parents, Captain don Miguel de Erauso and dona Maria Perez de Galarraga y Arce, were native-born residents of the town, and they raised me at home with my brother and sister until I was 4”. Yet as a women, her rumbustious cloudy judgement and her outrageous exploits leads her to commit countless of crimes: murder, evading the authorities, disturbing the peace and coming assault. One time she assaults a man named Ryes who verbally threatening her in a nasty tone. The next day she grabs a knife and slashes his face and stabs Ryes’s friend in the chest. She looks for help in a near church where she eventually gets caught but like always finds a way to get free from authorities with the help of someone feeling bad for her. In her memoir it says she writes “ I went looking for Ryes and found him where he was strolling by the church with a friend. I approached him from behind and said “ Ah, senor Reyes!” He turned and asked “What do you want” I said, “This is the face you were thinking of cutting up,” and gave him a slash worth ten stitches. He clutched at the wound with both hands, his friend drew his sword and came at me, and I went at him with my own. We met, I thrust my blade through his left side and down he went. I ran straight to the church”. Based on this evidence, Catalina should be found guilty because she feels no remorse for her actions and could possible never learn from her mistakes. Catalina De Eruso should be found guilty and punished for also disturbing the peace, evading the authorities and committing another murder against her own brother. Defenders of Catalina might say “ She has felt remorse for killing her brother and she had no choice but to run away from her consequences of her cloudy judgement”.
