In the 2023 Global Healthcare Outlook, it was separated into five main key issues. It starts with ‘Virtual health delivery”. This section talks about how although Covid-19 changes our perspective on a lot of things there was one positive that came out of it. That is virtual health delivery. The article stated that virtual health delivery is not a substitute for traditional care, but instead it offers new ways for patients to receive care in a way that they weren’t able to in the past (2023 Global Health Care Outlook, 2023). There were many benefits that came with virtual health delivery. For example, one major benefit is that both the nature of care delivery itself has altered because of virtualization of care and new market players have emerged. Small health businesses have received investments from larger providers. Medically Home Group, a hospital-at-home business company, received a $110 million investment from the Mayo Clinic and Kaiser Permanente (2023 Global Health Care Outlook, 2023).
The second key point in the 2023 Global Healthcare Outlook is ‘Digital transformation’. The main point in this section is how healthcare relied a lot on technology when the pandemic struck. The 2023 Global Healthcare Outlook mentioned “However, there is one ingredient that essential to any form of digital engagement, and it’s vital for virtual health: trust” and in chapter 2 of ‘the Institute of Medicine’s Viewpoint on Healthcare Reform’ Stable, trusting relationships between a patient and the people providing care can be critical to healing or managing an
