Telehealth is an up and coming form of virtual medical care that has entered the health care industry the past few years. Telehealth allows the medical professional provide care to the patient without an in-office visit. Types of care that you can get through telehealth include receiving results, mental health treatment, skin conditions, urgent care issues (cold, coughs, and stomach aches), surgical follow ups, physical therapy, and prescription management (telehealth.gov, 2023). After the presentation my perception of telehealth did change. I was against telehealth before the presentation, but now I can see the convince it can have for not only the patient but the doctor as well. Now a days convince is a priority to most individuals offering telehealth in my opinion may be beneficial to success of one’s practice. There are pros and cons to all things, especially when it comes to one’s healthcare. Pros to telehealth care in my opinion include convince, reduced travel, and time saving. For example, a patient history can be recorded and sent to the doctor to review. The presentation made me realize that telehealth could be beneficial for patients solely based off the convince and time saving aspect. Telehealth.Gov states virtual visits ensure you get heath care wherever you are located that being at home, in the car, or even at work (telehealth.gov, 2023). One aspect of care I would offer through telehealth would be, therapeutic exercise so patient could perform them in the comfort of their own home on their own time. Many times patients do not commit to a treatment plan simply because they don’t have the time, offering telehealth for different portions of the treatment plan could offer more time for patient
