Would you fight through all obstacles to accomplish a test determining your life? Or would you crumble under the pressure? In The Testing trilogy, there are many characters that have multiple different obstacles to face during the trilogy. Cia has had many obstacles for example when she had to figure out who to trust and who to rely on. My theme that i find is very common in the testing trilogy is that there will be many obstacles to overcome in life.
Concepts Application Paper: “Clueless” The movie that I chose for my concepts application paper was “Clueless.” “Clueless,” is a coming of age comedy directed by Amy Heckerling in 1995. The movie follows the life of a rich and popular high school girl, Cher and her best friend Dionne. The duo takes on the project of changing a new, unpopular girl, Tai, into one of the coolest “it” girls in school.
I took part in the Moody 's Mega Math Challenge, a yearly mathematical modeling competition in which teams attempt to use mathematics as a predictive and analytical tool for discussing a given problem. The Challenge focused on STEM and non-STEM careers, comparing the short-term cost of college and the long-term financial stability of both career paths. We were given 14 hours to complete a comprehensive paper offering a solution to their questions I and four others divided the work amongst ourselves. I was given responsibility for the first part of the problem, comparing the short term college tuitions between STEM and non-STEM fields. I would take a full 12 hours to complete this surprisingly sizable task.
The Universal Pre-K Initiative is a movement to allow access to preschool programs for all eligible children in any state regardless of their social economic status, abilities and any other reason. Universal Pre-K started back in 1834 in France and grew throughout other European countries. The movement started gaining momentum in the United States as societies’ view shifted from seeing children’s development as a responsibility of parents to a responsibility of society and parents. About 38 out of the 50 states have started some form of preschool programs but these are often run by various community agencies in contrast to the desired state ran preschool programs the Universal Pre-K Initiative is calling for. 1. I can write and listen at the same time without being distracted and stay focused on what the professor is saying. The worst thing I do is write everything the professor is saying, not allowing me to capture the main points of the subject. I need to listen carefully, pause and try to write it in my own words, to allow me to understand the key points. 2.
This case study will assist stakeholders with making informed decisions on utilizing technology based resource within their curriculum. The XYZ district is a very small school system. Only 20% of teachers are currently trained and instructing with various technology tools, which are problems created by mistrust of technology or hesitation born from frustration or lack of confidence and adequate training and funding (Ruggiero & Mong, 2015).This study is essential because it can supply an example of teaching and learning with one-to-one computing and establish a comprehensive understanding of ways to maximize diverse technology tools within the curriculum. Although teachers within this school district have access to the Internet and online subscriptions, many teachers are not utilizing the potential of educational benefits that technology resources offer (Blau & Peled, 2012).
This report addresses the issues arising from the case study report of Guelph General Hospital. Over the years, the hospital has experienced challenges in the delivery of services to consumers. This is especially due to the expanding numbers of patients that have affected the normal functioning of the hospital system. Starting with the improvement of the emergency department, GGH has focused on the practices that would accommodate the increasing demands for medical services. The lean methodology is one of the implementations that aimed at reducing wastage within the system, in order to create value for the services offered.
The data provided consists of information on 100,000 user submitted tickets. Each ticket consisted of: the requestor, their seniority, the IT Owner, the area the ticket was filed against, the type of ticket, the user assigned severity, the IT assigned priority, and the number of day between submission and resolution. I analyzed the data using IBM’s Watson Analytics tool. Initial assessment with this tool provided a strong correlation between the type of ticket and the number of days open. Specifically, out of all of the ticket types, hardware was open for a significantly longer period of time than either the systems or the software tickets.
Being a young man in a poor area of Dallas, Texas I use to get in trouble with my friends, just for fun and not care for others. My circle would vandalize poverty, cause terror, and be involved in gangs. All that change once certain friends took the addiction and violence too far. High school graduation was looming, so I took a different route. I could not see myself hurting my own kind.
Whoville Middle School is in need of a vision. I would further investigate the needs of the school to ensure that all of the needs are identified. A needs assessment plan will be used to provide important information concerning the strengths and weaknesses of the school. I would collaborate with the teachers and parents of the community to develop a vision that would best improve the school. I have to be aware of the demographics of the school in means of diversity and diverse educational needs.
