She then told the young girl she didn’t want to be a physical therapist but a dental hygienist just for the fact of seeing people happy.

This statement is important because it explains that the college is monitoring each dental hygienist if they are providing the quality of care that the public should be getting. CDHO is responsible to public so they make sure that every dental hygienist knows that they accountable to people, where the public has trusted them their oral health care. On the other hand, “The CDHA Code of Ethics sets out the ethical principles and responsibilities which apply to members of the dental hygiene profession across all practice areas including clinical care, education, research, administration and any other related to the profession of dental hygiene” (Canadian Dental Hygienists’ Association, 2012).
