In the documentary “Climate of Doubt”, Fred Singer is one of the main representatives of the group being discussed. Fred Singer is a retired physicist, he believes that the climate is doing well the way it is and that it has no issues, as it is naturally getting colder and hotter on its own. He plays the role as the founder of the Science and Environmental Policy Project, as in the past he was responsible for governmental weather satellites and did not think the climate needed help or was impacted by humans, and he spreads this word and preaches it in this project. As stated, the show never seemed to mention, “hide the decline”, which was when scientists decided to hide the information on how the earth was declining in global temperature for a few years, while Carbon Dioxide levels were rising. As scientist try to hide their information in regards to humanly effects on the climate and environment, certain studies show the impacts of humans on the climate.
One of the leading causes for global warming, or the rising temperature of the Earth’s climate, are greenhouse effects by humans. “According to nature international journal of science, Data compiled by Le Quéré and other members of the Global Carbon Project suggest that humans contributed around 10.4 billion tones of carbon into the atmosphere in 2011” (Monastersky).
