The article I have chosen is “The Movement for Universal Health Insurance: Finding Common Ground”, by Thomas Bodenheimer (2003). The article argues that everyone should have equal access to affordable health care. The author believes the people have the right to Universal Health care, and that with health care being so expensive, it is difficult to pursue. I believe this is an important issue because people will always need health care, and it has become too expensive. If we are able to have universal health care, it will be better for everyone.
Section one will be over the article itself; how the people deserve health care and the different ways people could obtain it. Section two will be over an original objection to the paper, the liberty lost by increased tax dollars is worse than the liberty gained by affordable health care. While section three will be over a possible response the author can make; that there are ways to minimize the cost and that much liberty is actually gained through this practice.
