Reform Party – was founded by Ross Perot in 1995. Ross Perot claimed that Americans were disillusioned with the existing two-party system. He wanted an alternative to the Democratic and Republican ideologies. “The Reform Party aims to promote a centrist, moderate approach to public policy. According to the group's website, the Reform Party seeks to build a political infrastructure that can match the Democrats and Republicans in voters, in donations and in the offices held without succumbing to the special interests and self-serving behavior that has corrupted America’s government” (Ballotpedia, 2017). Perot wanted to develop a party that would encompass a platform like his (government and economic reform).
