He was immediately was rushed to the hospital and died during surgery. William McKinley was America's proud 25th president was was shot and killed by Leon Czolgosz. Leon Czolgosz shot President McKinley twice until McKinley’s body guards tackled Leon . Even after the Fact that President McKinley was shot, he stated not to hurt his assailant. Although he was republican he gave his generosity to all and looked for ways to benefit everyone. William McKinley did not deserve to be assassinated because unlike many people he had good qualities such a always looking for a better solution. President McKinley was also president during the Spanish-American war in which he won with the help of navy generals by simply outsmarting the Spanish. Acording to whitehouse.gov President McKinley was “ the newer view” and often described as the man would would find a “better” way. Overall with a man described with a lot of intellectual ability I believe it’s just another reason for president McKinley to have lived on.
