There are many published books that later are made into movies. For example, Suzanne Collins’ book The Hunger Games, which was published in 2008, and later adapted into a movie directed by Gary Ross in 2012. This is a story about tributes that go on to fight for their lives in The Hunger Games, where only one of them can survive. The victor gets food for their district, and they also get to live in a nicer home with their family. Since so many people enjoyed this story, when they announced the movie, it was the best news ever. Everybody was excited, but bringing a book to life can be difficult. There are so many good details people are expecting to see especially the setting and the characters that should be well replicated in the movie. He is as important as Katniss since he is the boy tribute for district twelve and another main character of this story. Peeta is described as a guy of “medium height, stocky build, [with] ashy blond hair that falls in waves over his forehead”, sadly his description wasn’t too long but as well as Katniss the reader should be able to imagine his character by what has been described (Collins 25). Unfortunately, the movie does a very poor job in portraying Peeta’s character in the big screen. In the movie Peeta, acted by Josh Hutcherson, was not medium sized at all but short, his hair was not the ashy blond most people were hoping and he is not as built as Collins has described (Hunger).Many people may agree, that when they show the other character Gale, in the movie he may have been a better pick for the character Peeta, which may just be the readers’ opinion. This is because Gale represented the description a lot more in the movie (Hunger).Even when Peeta wasn’t what expected he ended up being a good fit for this
