Cadbury is an international company which is located in many countries like India, USA, Canada, New Zealand. ’.("Cadburys Introduction."). Cadbury is the second largest confectionery brand in the world.’("Cadbury Chocolate | Cadbury.Co.Uk"). It is one of the most popular brands of india, It is a benchmark for other competitors in India and is regarded as gold standard.’("Cadbury India"). The research question of this essay is “what marketing strategies has Cadbury used over the years to maintain its market leader position in India”. This essay will focus on how cadbury is maintaining its market leader position over the years in india. This essay will analyse the strategies used and the implication of market research. The main aim of my essay is to analyze company’s techniques and strategies that they use for marketing in India. The business tools that that will be used in this essay are : SWOT analysis to show strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the company, BCG matrix to show products which fall under different criteria in context of India, Porter’s 5 force analysis and Ansoff matrix to show the strategies used by cadbury in india over years to maintain market leader position.

I got attracted to this topic because it has a very strong and direct impact on promotion in India. I never planned before to chose promotional strategies as it is very important, but after seen how it can lead a business towards high sales, I could not
