1.0 Introduction Subway is an American fast food franchise company that owned by Doctor’s Associates Inc. and mainly selling submarine sandwiches and salads. The first submarine sandwich shop was opened in Connecticut, The USA in 1965 by Fred DeLuca and Dr. Peter Buck (Subway.com. 2015). It originally called as “Pete’s Super Submarines,” the two founders changed the name to Subway since 1968 and the first franchise outlet open in Wallingford in 1974 (Subway.com, 2015). Since then, Subway continuously opened their franchise world widely. Subway ranked No. 2 and generated 18.1 billion USD in 2013 according to Statista’s Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain ranked by revenue research (Statista, n.d.). Besides, Entrepreneur ranked Subway at 3rd in the top 10 franchises in 2014 (Daley, 2014). Also, according to Forbes, Subway is ranking at No.84 as The World’s Most Valuable Brands in the year 2015 (Forbes, 2015). These statistics and rankings have proved that Subway is one of the rapid growing fast food company in the world, and it owned 43,980 franchise stores in 110 regions (Subway.com, 2015). Also, Subway has founded region offices in Amsterdam, Beirut, Brisbane, Miami and Singapore in order to run their business well.
