On April 6, 1862 the battle of shiloh took place and was one of the major early engagement of American civil war (1861-65).” General Ulysses S. Grant's army was encamped along the Tennessee River just north of the Mississippi border; poised to strike a blow into the heartland of the South”. What followed were 2 of the bloodiest days of the civil war leaving dead,dying,and wounded men. In the story “The Drummer Boy Of Shiloh” by “ Ray Bradbury” there is a lot of symbols like EX: Blossoms,counting,River and many more. In this essay i’m going to explain some of theses symbols. In the story “The Drummer Boy Of Shiloh” the word Blossoms symbolize that the general thought joby was foolish for joining the military instead of enjoying his childhood.
