Reading Journal #4: Among The Barons The book that I’m currently reading is called “Among The Barons”. The author of this book is Margaret Peterson Haddix. This book is part of the “Shadow Children” series and is the fourth book from the series. The genre is mystery. Among the Barons is from Luke’s perspective. In this book, Luke has to conquer his fears and go to his fake parents house. Luke is acting like Lee and the government doesn’t know that. This made me quite angry because, he changed instantly for the fourth one. Another thing that I didn’t like was how there weren’t any new characters in this book. The other two books many characters were added on to the story but not this one. The last thing that I didn’t like about this book was how the problem was very small and nobody really cared about it. Nobody cared about the Grants dying and it was very saddening. The main problem of the story was when the Grants got killed but the Population Police immediately turned the house into a headquarters and didn’t care at
