Mansa Musa was the Emperor of Mali in the fourteenth century, he was known for being the richest ruler. He was born around 1230 and died around 1337. Mansa Musa is mostly known for his journey to the Muslim holy city in Mecca where he was introduced him to rulers in the Middle East and in Europe. Musa came to the throne of West Africa’s Mali Empire through a practice of appointing a deputy when a king goes on his pilgrimage to Mecca or journeys somewhere else and later naming the deputy as heir. According to historians, Musa was appointed the deputy of Abubakari II.
The Life of Mansa Musa Mansa Musa was the ruler and king of the Mali empire, which is located in west Africa. Mansa Musa is said to be the richest person in history with a net worth of about 400 billion dollars. He was born in the year 1280 B.C., but his birthdate was unknown. Historians have been able to identify that he was grandson of nephew of Sundiata. Sundiata was the founder of the dynasty.
This past Sunday, June 18th, America lost muslim teen, Nabra Hassanen to what most call road rage, and others, a hate crime. Hassanen, accompanied by a group of friends were headed back to a local mosque after a trip to a fast-food restaurant. It was then that they encountered driver Darwin Martinez Torres and an argument erupted. The altercation escalated, resulting in the capturing and death of 17 year old Hassanen. Torres had beaten her with a baseball bat, abducted her, and dumped her body into a lake.
A man who worked at his family’s company his whole life , has a pretty interesting story to tell about when he got drafted in 1933 . His name is Daniel Capozello. Before he entered the military he had 4 years of a high school education (High school Diploma). First he had to go through a 12 week basic training camp (boot camp).

Joaquin is known for being an outlaw, leader, and founder of an outlaw gang during the Gold Rush named the Five Joaquins. In history, there have been many versions of Joaquin Murrieta; some people describe Joaquin Murrieta as a real-life Robin who stole from the rich to give to the poor, and others describe him as a fifty robber who robbed for his own benefit. The truth is that Joaquin Murrietta was not good but not bad either; he was just human and just did what he needed to survive.
Yamanaka Shikanosuke was born on September 20, 1545. In his art, his portraits conventionally show a crescent moon on the front of his helmet; he was born under a harvest moon. The crescent moon ornament he wore on his helmet was a token of good luck. Yamanaka was a Japanese samurai of the Sengoku period. He served the Amako clan of Izumo Province.
BLOOD SIMPLE’s mise-en-scene starts off with the lighting of the car ride, it is dark, the characters’ are draped in shadows, the outside world is a blur, and the mood is being set for the follow on scenes. BLOOD SIMPLE’s opening composition also establishes a central theme for the audience that this movie will be gloomy, have immoral implications and be filled with betrayal. The lighting in the movie is constant throughout with heavy shadows, low backlighting, which is until the last scene where the light brightens as the action falls. Key props were found throughout the film, however one of the major props was Abby’s hand gun.
The Past and Present Development of Mililani The island of Hawai’i is always changing, and the aloha island keeps on moving forward with no way of stopping its future growth. From it being a sad, or happy change to evan a bad, and good change. Hawai’i is always changing for the rapid growth of new residents starting to live in Hawai’i and for the positive changes for all of it’s communities. With this one special place that comes to mind, and is truly dear to me. Is known as the All-America City that is Mililani.

Born on December 1, 1521 and the eldest son of aggressive warlord Takeda Nobutora, Takeda Shingen grew up to be a powerful military leader. He almost won the war but died before the last battle. His original name was Takeda Harunobu. Born of a powerful clan called Shugo Daimyo, Takeda became recognized as one of the most-powerful military leaders in east-central Japan.
When I undertook this project I wanted to choose female artists who were outstanding at their craft regardless of their gender, while also I wanted female artist who’s work had themes that the mainstream art industry neglected. The three artists I will be focusing on are Dorothea Lange, Emily Carr, and Daphne Odjig. Dorothea Lange was an influential American documentary photographer and photojournalist, best known for her Depression-era work for the Farm Security Administration. Emily Carr was a Canadian painter and writer heavily inspired by the Aboriginal peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast. Carr was one of the first painters in Canada to adopt a Modernist and Post-Impressionist painting style.
Fame is in everyone 's mind in today’s society. With social media, such as Youtube, it’s easy to become famous, but for some people that isn 't enough. Katsushika Hokusai was a Japanese artist specializing in ukiyo-e painting and printing. Ukiyo-e is a form of Japanese art which was popular in the 17th through 19th century. In English, ukiyo-e translates to “pictures of the floating world.” It is a wide range of paintings and woodblock prints such as faces, landscapes, flowers, and even erotica. Hokusai’s most famous painting is the Great Wave.
No story remains entirely pure over the course of time. They often end up altered by various agendas through the years as well as through the distortions inherent in different mediums that seek not primarily to inform, but to entertain. All of this applies to the differences between the Miyamoto Musashi we know historically and the Miyamoto Musashi presented in more modern popular culture, specifically the films of Inagaki Hiroshi. Over time, various movements in Japan from the 17th to 20th centuries altered the relationships and individualism of Miyamoto Musashi. All of Miyamoto Musashi’s relationships were altered in the Inagaki Hiroshi films with varying degrees of deliberation.
