“By 1987, the 737 was the most ordered plane in commercial history” (Boeing 737, 2018). This was directly related to Boeing’s relentless desire to improve their product known as the Boeing Model 737 series. Improvements in the aeronautics packages, engine power plants, and seat carrying capacity keeps the 737 as one of the most desired airliners in the sky across the globe. Not only has it been a favorite commercially, but militarily as well. That may have been a true statement, but now today it would be a full-grown adult in its reliability and adaptability. With over 10,000 orders and the most used airplane in commercial history can no longer be call a baby. Another nickname earned by the 737 models is the “Hamster Mouth”, due to its engines inlet, which would be weirdly shaped as a fish orifice (Sweetman, 2014). This design was a testament to its engines aerodynamics and needed because of the ingenuity of placing the engines in the under-wing design. It is this type of relentless attitude that Boeing has placed in the design of the 737 that keeps it relevant now and into the future. It is also the reason why the Boeing 737 series has made its mark in history as the number one seller and producer of commercial jet transportation in the world and is represented 104 airlines.
