Tchaikovsky was interested in music growing up. One time, before he took formal music lessons, he was so into a rhythm that he was tapping it on a stain glass window. The window broke and young Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky was cut in the hand. This is when Tchaikovsky’s parents thought it was time to get him a music teacher. That said, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev are two of the leading composers in the 19th century. Which one has influence today’s music more? Tchaikovsky was born May 7 1840 and died November 6 1893. He was born in Russia but lived all over the world during his lifetime. He went on many tours. He lived during romantic period. A protege is someone who is fantastic at their job and has been from a young age. As well as Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev, he had his own writing style. He was also Russian. He was born 1891 and died 1953 so him and Tchaikovsky never actually got to meet. Both men composed and were trained musicians. Prokofiev, though, was a virtuoso. This means that he contributed in many different fields of, in this case, music. Tchaikovsky influenced current music more than Prokofiev.

Then worked as a clerk for the Russian government before he became famous for music. He was haunted by music growing up. At night he would hear music pounding in his head.
