About the Hospital: This executive summary provides an outline of a recent improvement initiative implemented in 2016. Our mission is to provide trauma and surgical care to South Alabama with a specialty focus on complex obstetrical and pediatric care. University of South Alabama’s Women and Children’s Hospital (USA-WCH) is dedicated to providing complex healthcare services South Alabama region. Problem Statement: Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) provided a sample of fifty surveys with significant patient satisfaction failures that resulted in patient satisfaction rating below score of 7 to equal 1/3 of persons 50 surveyed. Noise is a problem not only fiscally to USA-WCH, but physically to our clients. Objectives formulated to increase patient satisfaction rating at intervals of 6, 9, 12 months that are concurrent with the respective benchmarks of 25 %, 50 % and 90 % improvement and NR. Training implementation based upon Massachusetts General Hospital’s similar NR problem and successful solution training pamphlets published in literature. Nurse training measurement of knowledge retention at post initial increase of 20 % and post final training sessions goal increased by 80% benchmarks were set. Team D designed the Quality analysis and implementation guidelines of the nurse training and data collection.
