Tears of a Tiger Option 3 In the end of the book, Tears of a Tiger, one of the main characters, Andy, kills himself. The events that pushed him in the direction of suicide is that his best friend died and he could have prevented it by being more responsible and chose to drive instead of his friend, he was the only one not drunk. He shot himself in the head while skipping school. His brother, Monty, saw blood on the ceiling. Grief counselors had to come to school. They had the students write letters of what they wanted to say to Andy.

Andy killed himself. That’s all he did, he didn't reach out to anyone, he was sad and scared. He lost hope in everything, in life. He shot himself in the head, seems like a crappy way to die. After you die you have 7 minutes of brain activity left that plays all your memories in a dream like sequence. Imagine the regret that he must have felt. Like hey, let's go shoot myself in the head because that's a great idea. Suicide annoys me, it's the coward's way out. If people are driven to kill yourself don’t you see something is wrong. We are corrupted. I don’t realize how people think that we go to hell for having a terrible life to the point where we can't see a future, all people see is another day ahead of them that have to deal with. Bad things happen in this world and some people are unfortunate enough to not be able to handle it, sometimes people are just strong too long. People definitely should not go to hell for being strong. Hell is for the people who do things in their right mind and can control it, for child molesters, for abductors, etc. Hell is for bad people, not those who were born in the wrong place at the wrong time and had such a terrible life to the point where they commit
