It is a negative thing because they do not focus on their education and instead they focus on their phone more. In result, it brings their mental emotions down and their education as well. Technology and social media are a negative influence for teens, because it affects their learning, emotions, and privacy. In addition, learning can be interrupted by technology because kids use their phones while learning or studying. In the article “No kids can’t study ...” by Jenny Awford she stated “85% of young people struggle to perform simple tasks when distracted by phones or email”. Phones and social media is a big distraction for teens because they try to do more than one thing at a time when they are on their phones.
