Technology allows people to remain distant with others, this occurs so commonly that people may not even realize it at first. It is easier to send a text rather than have a sit down conversation, even if it is an uncomfortable situation. This affects a person’s social ability, and understanding of social cues. This emotional detachment can lead to overall dismissal of others and their feelings. Technology limits the ability for compassion. Forming relationships causes a false sense of intimacy between two people, and can easily lie about who they really are. Many become so addicted to their screens in one way or another. Technology is a really good tool for people who are great multitaskers, but it can also lead to an overall lack of focus, for it can improve lives but it also has the power to ruin them. Dividing your attention across different platforms leads you to missing information, certain details that are important being left out can lead to problems down the line. Lack of focus can be in any situation, whether it is school, work, or a social gathering. Most schools today use different versions of technology to advance learning in the classroom, but in reality this is making students learn a lot less. Students have access to all sorts of games, videos, and anything not school work related on a device. Spending more time on leisure activities
