A person who submits a sequence of homicides, frequently with no evident thought process and typically following a trademark, is known as a serial killer. Ted Bundy, an infamous serial killer once said, "You feel the last bit of breath leaving their body. You're looking into their eyes. A person in that situation is God!" (qtd. in “Terrifying quotes”). Ted, believed he was playing the role of god in taking away his victims' lives. Many serial killers such as Ted Bundy and Donald Gaskin are very foul human beings because of the horrific things they did to innocent people. These men had been birthed by teenage girls not ready to become mothers. Ted’s Mother was only a teenager when she had him, leaving him in a maternity home and never coming back (Hammon). In the same way as Donald Gaskin, his mother was also a teenager who was with many men that often would beat him while his mother watched, not doing anything, leaving him to raise himself (Montaldo, “Donald “Pee Wee” Gaskin”). Not being raised in a stable home resorted them into making inadequate decisions. These were young men whose lives started off rough and got worse throughout time. Ted Bundy was an outsider always trying to fit in but his quick temper pushed friends away from him (Hammon). He felt as though since he got abandoned at a very young age and didn’t have anyone to have as a true friend to stick with him when things got rough so he resorted to violence. While on the other hand, Donald use to constantly fight in school. He dropped out at the age of eleven, which lead to the beginning of his hatred against people, but women evidently more (Montaldo, “Donald “Pee Wee” Gaskin”).
