The monk seals are a rare tropical animal that lives on the Caribbean and the Hawaiian Islands. Monk seals live in warm waters and spend about two-thirds of their time at sea. However, they also spend time on land as they breed and carry-out their “pups.” Coral reefs provide the seal as a great habitat for them to dive, swim, and for food such as fish. It may seem that monk seals spend most of their time at sea, but they also love to rest on shore on the beaches.
Eating too much chocolate can cause acne. At least that’s what many people believe. Then why do advertisers keep advertising chocolate? In the Snickers satisfies commercial it opens with a football team having a time out. It displays Robin Williams as the coach and he starts speaking nonsense.
When the 1970s introduced High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), a cheap sweetener alternative to sucrose in a fructose-glucose liquid form (fifty five percent fructose, forty two percent glucose, and three percent saccharides), it brought extensive numbers of health problems with it (Bray, 2004 & Johnson, 2010 ). Prior to the 70’s, on average, sugar contributed to four percent of daily caloric intake, however over the past four and a half decades, this statistic has increased to whopping sixteen percent, leading some scientist to consider it an “addiction” as they observe the sugar substitute wreak havoc on humans’ bodies worldwide (Butler, 2011). Along with hooking those who indulge sweets to it, High Fructose Corn Syrup also leads to obesity:
When it comes to nutrition labels on food packaging, it only shows the amount of sugar in grams, never in percent. This gimmicks people into thinking that its not much sugar in the product they’re eating, because while the grams seem small, people are unaware of the actual amount of sugar placed into the product. Moving on, since the 1900s, obese rates in America have drastically increased in the 2000s. This meaning that people are starting to eat more food, with sugar they did not even know was in there. This is unfair to the people who develop diseases and illnesses, like getting obese, diabetes or cancer, because of the unknown amount of sugar placed into the food.
Chocolate milk is unhealthy! Bad for you! I think Chocolate milk should be banned from schools because chocolate milk has a lot of sugar in it, lots of schools are banning chocolate milk, and plain milk is a better alternative for schools. Others may say that chocolate milk is healthy and good for you, but I argue chocolate milk is unhealthy and can make you obese. Chocolate milk should be banned from schools.
In his Ted-Talk “How to buy happiness”, Michael Norton (2011) states that happiness can be bought with money by giving it to other people. I fully agree with Norton. I received my first paycheck around Christmas last year and the first thing I bought with that money was a present for my mother. Christmas is a great example: giving and receiving gifts bonds everyone together, because it shows that we care about each other. Even helping someone you barely know is really satisfying, you did a good deed, it is good for your self-esteem.
How Simon Sinek Persuade Audiences that the Secret to Success is a Reason Why In the TED talk, How Great Leaders Inspire Action, the presenter, Simon Sinek, a “leadership expert,” claims that all great leaders and innovators have one thing in common, they all have a reason why they do what they do. He convinces the audience that his claim is correct through a relatively balanced use of the three Aristotelian appeals: pathos, logos, and ethos. He gives specific facts and examples, to show his audience how his claim has worked for history’s greatest individuals and organizations. Finally, he uses rhetorical devices such as amplification and parallelism to strengthen his argument.
It is true with anything we consume-too much is too much, and this goes with any milk also. Abundance of a good thing can be faulty, but with care, chocolate milk can be a part of an healthy and satisfying
Sugar especially is the culprit when it comes to health problems from food. Sugars are addictive empty calories providing no nutritional value thus causing you to over eat and intake excess calories which will turn into fat. Intro It’s a sunny, warm day kids playing outside and healthy, well that was back then. It’s still warm and sunny but now, kids are inside glued to their electronics and not healthy. Why? What caused this?
Cow milk is meant for calves, not for humans. Cow milk can actually cause health problems like asthma. I know you are all asking yourself “How does she expect us to get calcium?”. As a matter of fact, leafy green vegetables have more calcium in them than milk does. Meat.
Lactose intolerance, also known as milk intolerance, is the inability to fully digest the sugar, lactose, in milk. There are more than three million cases in the U.S. per year. As a result, they have diarrhea, gas and bloating after eating or drinking dairy products. A deficiency of lactase, an enzyme produced in your small intestine, is usually responsible for lactose intolerance. Many people claim to be lactose intolerant.
This does give chocolate some properties that are bodily healthy for us. Chocolate eaters are encouraged to eat more given the information of flavonoids, a healthy natural chemical and antioxidant. “Flavonoids help protect plants from environmental toxins and help repair damage. They can be found in a variety of foods such as fruits and vegetables. When we eat food rich in flavonoids, it appears we also benefit from this antioxidant power.”
