Social media allows us to maintain relationships by providing a constant connection among individuals and helps us to meet new people with similar interests as us, thereby building relationships as well. Those who bond at national sporting events can stay in contact with one another very easily and conveniently. This allows them to sustain important connections with those who live far away, thus fostering bonds between individuals. Through this article, the writer hopes to convince readers that social media provides several benefits to our interpersonal connections and allows us to express our interests in order to encourage regulated use of social media among audiences, and strengthen bonds between teenagers. The author uses formal and academic forms of speech to support the use of social media as a communication device among teens that allows them to build important bonds with their peers and meet new friends with similar interests as themselves. Technology does provide some benefits to our social bonds as it allows us to stay in touch with others regardless of location, however, it is still not as efficient in maintaining connections as direct interaction.
