The political positions that the candidate George Bush held before seeking presidency was being a vice president for President Ronald Reagan and for Dukakis he was a governor for Massachusetts. The more liberal candidate was Dukakis because he was a democrat and the more conservative was Bush because he was a republican. Dukakis was more challenged by people in his own party during the primary election because the democrats thought that their party would need to win it all also they refused renomination. Maginnis describes how Edwards, a Democrat in the Deep South, beat his GOP opponent Dave Treen for governor in the midst of the Reagan years, which were unfavorable times for Democrats. Edwards won the 1983 election because he amplified his strengths against his opponent’s weaknesses. Edwin Edwards proved he was capable for the position, he had a weak opponent, and he was popular.
The 1984 election between the Republican candidate Ronald Reagan and Democrat candidate Walter Mondale was one that was mainly focused on economic issues, but also had some focus on social issues as well. Furthermore, both candidates had to be on top of their persuasion game, and they both used distinct peripheral and central routes in order to convince the general television watching American citizen to vote for them. First, Ronad Reagan in his Prouder, Stronger, Better commercial described the thriving economic state of the country by using a central route of persuasion. This central route of persuasion used cold, hard facts to describe the low rate of unemployment at the time, saying "today more men and women will go to work than ever before".
I believe that people should vote for Gary Johnson in the election cycle because he believes in spending less on the military, the legalization of marijuana, and the right for people to bear arms. These are the reasons why citizens should be voting for Gary Johnson in this election cycle. As mentioned above, Gary Johnson is a strong believer in the United States spending less of its federal budget on the armed forces. He is very isolationist and anti-war.

To begin, David Berkowitz was brought up by middle class adoptive parents by the names of Nathan and Pearl Berkowitz. His birth mother was Betty Broder who grew up in Brooklyn as a poor, single, Jewish mother trying to cope with raising a daughter. Broder later had relations with Joseph Kleinman and became pregnant by him, but he was not happy about the idea of having another child and on June 1, 1953 Betty put him up for adoption. Pearl and Nathan adopted David and were devoted to him and nothing in his childhood seemed to indicate that he would become a violent serial killer. However, he did show the classic serial killer profile being that he was isolated from his peers and did not feel good about himself.
In my essay I will provide three reasons why I do not believe Texas is operating within a democracy-a political system where the many rule. Republicans vs. Democrats When the United States of America was founded, George Washington warned against the formation of political parties. By the time the second election came around there were already two political parties, the Federalist and Democratic-Republicans. These parties eventually turned into the Republican and Democratic parties we have today. While these parties have shifted to become almost polar opposites politically, they still share some common goals.
