The 9/11 memorial has only been open for five year so it is surprising that it is so popular. Over 300,000 people have already visited the 9/11 memorial. It’s making a lots of money because the cheapest tickets are $24 and the cheapest tour is $39, and that is per person. Also on the webpage you are able to donate. The reason it is so expensive is because they need to keep it open, and the rest of the money goes the the other buildings they are building.
The 9/11 memorial is very beautiful. The memorial is to the left of where the buildings once stood. The memorial was entered in a large competition to decide which memorial should be put it the place of the twin towers. The winning design that is currently there was designed by Michael Arad and Peter Walker. Along with the memorial there are two very large reflecting pools.
Eric was observed in the living room of his home with his sitter present. As the observation started, the sitter brought out several toys including a bag of blocks. She opened the bag and dumped the blocks out. She then asked Eric if he wanted to build a tower. He responded by saying, “A choo choo train” and repeated this several times.

Pearl Harbor and the attacks on the world trade centers on September 11, 2001 also known as 9/11 were both events where thousands of innocent lives were taken at the hands of foreign attackers that entered our country. In both of these events thousands of lives were ended by foreign terrorists. Pearl Harbor and the attacks on 9/11 are both very symbolic in our nation’s history. The Japanese destroyed almost 20 American naval vessels, including eight huge battleships, and more than 300 airplanes.
Around the world people memorialize great hero’s, express great sorrow for those lost in battle, and celebrate the triumphs that had built the ground and infrastructure from one nation to the next; monuments are constructed to remember our past. Yet, monuments cannot be constructed out of nothing ,great goes into planning, paying, and research that goes into making sure correct homage is paid those who are due. If one wishes to build a memorial a few things must be taken into consideration, making sure the monument honors or recognizes an important person or event, the design of the building including shape and size, and lastly the monument is placed in an acceptable location based on the subject matter. The most important factor in building a monument is making something that people will recognize and feel an attachment to.

September 11, 2001 was the day two planes flew into the World Trade Center, forever changing the way of life for all of America. After this horrible act of terrorism the president of the United States gave a speech addressing the nation.
I think that this event should be memorialized because many people died in the tragic terrorist attack. The World Trade Center attack should be memorialized because the innocent people in America were going about their daily lives when suddenly something tragic happened. A plane filled with people crashed into a tower with hundreds of people in it. Then none the less two more planes did the exact same thing killing 3,000 people.
The 9/11 Memorial Museum sits on 180 Greenwich Street in New York City directly where the twin towers used to sit. It was made commemorate the tragic event that happened on September 11, 2001. This is the first year that this event will be taught in history classes in high schools across the nation since this year’s high school freshman class was not born in 2001. It has helped me to understand the concept of History besides what is taught in our textbooks.
