The accused by John Grisham is a novel with an insane journey of an innocent boy’s time in life. The main character, Theodore Boone has two parents that are lawyers, he basically grew up learning the law. Theo was living as a normal teenage boy, participating in boy scouts, getting good grades in school, hanging out with friends, until he gets framed. One day, his locker gets broken into and robbed, after that it’s a series of downhill events. Theo has stolen tablets in his locker that show up mysteriously, slashed bike tires, shattered windows, and more. All eyes are on Theo, who has very little time to solve this enigma. In this novel, readers quickly learn that Theodore Boone is respectful, courageous, and equipped with integrity. This adventure opens up with Theodore going to the town courthouse to experience the courting of a rare murderous crime in Theo’s small town. After using courageousness to solve the mystery of the unfortunately framed Theo, that never should have been, Theo was proven innocent by the judge. Theodore got out of the conundrum by being respectful to the police officers and jury, which allowed them to see that Theo was a very good child. Theo was a man of integrity throughout the whole novel. He told the truth about every last detail, and very carefully, he made sure not to fabricate anything.
