The Age of Reason v.s today. How are the events and values today connect to events and values of the Age of Reason. The age of reason is when people finally can tell a difference between right and wrong or in other word the Age of Reason was based on facts and science .Thomas Paine thought that the Government should not be involved with religion. The Government should be about the people,not about their religious beliefs. There are many guiding principles that our founding fathers placed in order to live a normal life such as respect and perseverance.

After the split of the colonist and England new laws were placed to separate church and state. Before they were separated the government and religion were together.Based on what people wanted this New government was put in place so that more people were involved in the government and part of decision making. In Thomas paine's pamphlets he always encouraged perseverance to people.

The two guiding principles are different because perseverance is doing something no matter how difficult it could be and respect is something that you give and receive. The ways that they are similar is that perseverance is something you do in order to earn respect and that most people have both of these qualities. People say that respect is “something earned, not given” some people live by this quote and another would be for” perseverance is failing 19 times to succeed the 20th “.

By these belief our founding fathers shaped our world how it is today. During the Age of Reason they focused on facts and science.Based on what our founding fathers did we live by their some of their principles they put in
