The Enlightenment time period was when philosophers met and discussed political, religious, economic, and social questions. During the 17th and 18th century, many ideas that were discussed helped form the capitalistic, democratic world today. The main idea or main purpose of these philosophers was to bring new ideas and help create a new age.
