Did you know that one hundred eighty-five thousand eight hundred eighty-four immigrants were deported from the United States in twenty twenty alone? That’s one hundred eighty-five thousand eight hundred eighty-four dreams crushed in a single year. Most people immigrate to this country to seek a better future for themselves, and to pursue the American dream. The American Dream is equality of opportunity that is available to any American. Even though throughout time the American Dream has changed. People still find ways to accomplish it on their own, but some may not succeed and get stopped too early in their tracks. The American dream is still alive because it offers support to immigrants, there are resources for people when they first come

The American Dream still lives to this day for many reasons like a better future, or a better future for others. Something in my life that relates to the American Dream is when my parents moved here from Mexico. They came here with a dream of searching for a better life for themselves and their future kids.
