The American dream is still alive, and will continue for many years to come. The point in the American dream is to start a new chapter in your life, and knowing that thousands of immigrant are trying their best to become a part of this country it’s clear that the American dream is still alive because of these immigrants are willing to come here, knowing that they’re unfamiliar what’s around them is difficult . For example, in the story “America and I” the author talks about how she arrived in America with millions of other immigrant and how she work hard to be a part of the American dream. Working from job to job trying to earn a living here, while being harshly afraid and abused from society. Even what was happening she was finally able to achieving the American dream. The moment you feel apart of something big and special is the main reason that thousands of immigrant want to live and work in America. Also, in my perspective being born American and coming from former immigrant family, I’ve noticed that I been accepted in society because I was born here so, I already was given the Americans dream. Overall, they work hard and eventually achieve the American dream, by being finally welcome in America and finally finding a life that they can truly be happy of.
