Nick’s girlfriend (Jill) went out and bought belts that were only about two dollars. Jill noticed that she could do some stuff with these belts and make them better and sell them for a lot more in America. Nick went out and bought 600 belts and they ended up moving back to the states and sold each of the belts for around sixty dollars each. That was the primary source of funding to start off his GoPro company. Nick ended up using that money to fund his invention of the GoPro. Nick went around to different expos and sold a few at a time to different people and companies. It started to get bigger and bigger and it all of a sudden took off.
