The Best Constitution The United States’ constitution is one of the most important documents in history. It lists our rights and privileges as citizens of the US, states the role of government, and contains all of the laws we use today. These things-and more- make it an extremely well-written document. It is strongly revered by historians and regular people alike. The United Statesconstitution is the best one ever written. One of the reasons behind this is because of how long the constitution has lasted. “It is the world’s longest surviving written charter of government” (McGlothlin, Jerry “What Country Has the Oldest Constitution?”). The question, how does the fact that it’s old mean it’s any better than newer constitutions? Well, the fact that it’s old means that it’s been well-crafted enough to last all of these years.
